Medical ethics is an essential facet of healthcare. Integration of medical ethics earlier in the preclinical period allows students to understand ethical dilemmas and make a proper clinical decision when facing ethic dilemma in the clinical period. The lecture method is good for knowledge acquisition. However, lecture can be sleep inducing to the students. 
Small group discussion and role play is helpful in teaching and discussing subjects which have an affective component as well. It enables more interaction and also facilitates acquisition of communication skills.
